Customer Service Representative.

 

 

Education Coordinator

The Education Coordinator is responsible all logistics and details of delivering education products from seminars, workshops, trainings, instruction manual, certifications and product demos. The coordinator is also responsible for the development of content and thought leaders.


  • Manage the development of all educational materials including presentations, manuals and workshops.
  • Coordinate all pre and post event details and logistics including registration/payment confirmation, preparation/shipment of materials, participant/facility questions/concerns.
  • Coordinate all post-event details and logistics including collecting/organizing all necessary documentation (surveys, waivers of liability, etc...), participant/facility follow-up questions/concerns, and deliver follow-up documentation such as certificates of completion.
  • Provide event specific training and support as requested for products and demos.

The Education Coordinator will coordinate the deliverables of a detailed and rigorous cross-product development process necessary to deliver products as directed by the Education Product Manager. The Education Coordinator duties are as follows:


  • Manage the full life cycle of educational services, including but not limited to consumer training products, manuals, presentations and workshops to support physical products across categories.
  • Project development, work with Product Managers, marketing, and other outside resources to develop product based definitions – price points, product features, design input, etc.
  • Product Usage Analysis – oversee how products are being used and determine what services would enhance the consumers experience.
  • Product delivery – working with sales, marketing and customer service to ensure success in the market.
  • Education marketing – ensures and activates market reach for education in both channel and market.
  • Maintain network of academic research using power and how it relates to our consumers.
  • Prepare and present presentations internally, to customers and at industry shows or meetings.
  • Market intelligence, maintain information on competitive products and determine how that affects the consumer experience.
  • Participate in the development of product promotions, sales literature for catalogs, spec sheets and national advertising.
  • Participate in national trade shows as per booth, literature and arrangements.
  • Lead various project teams and educations symposiums.

REQUIRED SKILLS:


  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent exp.
  • 3+ years experience in Product/Service management.
  • Professional communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Highly organized and detail orientated.
  • Be willing to travel up to 50%.

Electrical Engineer

Working in an exceptionally dynamic and fast paced environment, Saris Cycling Group’s Electrical Engineer assists with and conducts standard engineering development and design work in areas such as electronic product development, circuit design, microcontroller based and instrumentation design. Working with internal project teams, production and external suppliers, projects may include schematic capture, PCB layout, firmware, tests & measurement of electronic hardware, firmware verification & validation, and general electronic design & analysis. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 1-3 years of previous relevant work experience. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and works in the Engineering/Product Development Department.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be required to oversee programs/projects to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules and budgets; coordinate interdepartmental functions to minimize delays; meet with departmental members on regular basis to review program status and plan future actions.


Specifically:


  • Assists with the development of engineering plans and designs for a particular product or problem area and executes in accordance with established specifications, schedules and budgets.
  • Leads or assists inter-departmental groups in the area of product development, product maintenance and product improvements to insure product integrity and to minimize delays in project completion.
  • Assists with investigation and analysis of new materials, processes, products and equipment to insure safety and quality regarding the design and manufacturing of products.
  • Creates or assists with creation of prototype hardware & software samples and evaluations to accelerate development learning and time to market.
  • Establishes test requirements if not previously specified. Develops, performs and directs the testing of hardware and software to verify product reliability.
  • Assists with quotations and bid analysis and works with other key areas to make recommendations.
  • Prepare engineering computations, product cost estimates and design documentation.
  • Performs and assists draft persons in preparation of drawings, maintenance and change documents, BOM’s and all aspects of development documentation.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate policies and procedures relating to development and design.
  • Performs other duties when required or requested.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED SKILLS:


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience with computer software and hardware including SPICE, circuit layout, programming, spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years with an Engineering group gaining experience in the above mentioned areas.
  • A passion for problem solving with the ability to multitask, independently, objectively and creatively attacking challenges, asking questions, networking and taking direction as needed to achieve goals.
  • Familiarity with a variety of electronic manufacturing processes and materials used.
  • Familiarity with a broad variety of electronic engineering disciplines including analog, digital, power, RF, embedded microprocessors, firmware programming and general programming.

Lead Press Operator

JOB SUMMARY: Punch press set-up and operation using appropriate blueprints and other instructions.


You will be responsible for:

  • Set-up of the punch presses - using appropriate blue prints and procedures.
  • Working with our Material Handlers to get needed parts and materials into your production area.
  • Operating of e an electric chain hoist to put coiled stock on the uncoiling apparatus.
  • First piece inspection of materials, especially before you begin each designated job.
  • Maintain piece part count and accurately inform production control of counts and scrap.
  • Managing scrap and quality.
  • Insuring that machinery and dies are in proper working order, inspecting for wear, performing preventative maintenance, working with tool & die shop for other maintenance and repair of tooling, working with maintenance department on punch press upkeep and repair.
  • Following appropriate safety procedures – including hearing protections, use of steel toed shoes, safe lifting, proper lock-out procedures etc.
  • Be responsible for internal and external changes to machine controls, which requires the use of a variety of small and detailed hand tools.
  • Monitoring and training of lower level press operators.
  • Keep area organized, i.e. know where supplies are located.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Be:

  • Reliable, Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Experienced: must have experience operating and setting up punch presses in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable:
    • Must be able to read and interpret information from measuring devices (i.e. micrometer), blue prints and specification sheet.

  • Safe and Capable:
    • Must be able to move and use the arms and feet within full range of motion or otherwise be able to operate machine controls.
    • Must be able to safely handle and transport dies weighing up to 50 pounds within a height range of floor to chest height, either with or without assistance.

Bicycle Parking & Storage Systems Solutions Product Manager and Advocacy Coordinator

Saris Cycling Group is a leader in the Commercial Bicycle Parking and Storage Product industry. We are looking for someone to manage that area of our business as well as be the in-house point person for the organizations efforts to promote cycling and the cycling lifestyle through our advocacy efforts.


Our Parking & Storage Systems are marketed to Independent Bicycle Dealers, Municipalities, and the Building Construction Industry.


This is a full-time position and will be eligible for benefits. You will be working from our Madison facilities. The position will involve some travel throughout the country to attend various trade shows and conferences.


You will be responsible for:


  • Acknowledge all parking system leads, which are then to be systematically followed up by phone.
  • Responsible for weekly audit of Parking Systems orders by system to make sure they are shipped as promised.
  • Check inventories status and advises of non or low inventory to proper person.
  • Work with present manufacturer representatives to make them more productive, to recruit new manufacturer representatives, to fill open territories or replace non-producing manufacturer representatives.
  • Market intelligence, set up computer file on present manufacturers through models and presses to be supported by managers catalogs, spec sheets and pricing in file cabinet.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts by model.
  • Compare forecasts to monthly sales.
  • Seek new ideas for products that are compatible with present line that Saris should or could market.
  • Participate in the development of new sales literature for catalogs, spec sheets and national advertising.
  • Scan Internet monthly for leads on possible parking systems prospects.
  • Market Research on new and existing markets.
